Winter time in California can only be felt as it should be in the mountains. Hence, the wonderfulness of winter camp! Ah, the snow, so white and sparkly. Words cannot do justice to thy shimmering beauty! But with that comes the inevitable, the awful and downright uncomfortable cold. The shivering and chattering that I endured! And to think that I was born in the Midwest. What would all those people think of me now?
Kelsey: GAh! It's so cold! *shivers uncontrollably*
Midwesterner: What a nice, warm, winter day! It's so refreshing to have the sun out! And it's a balmy 35 degrees!
Kelsey: *gasps* W-w-w-what are you talking about? I can't feel my toes! DO YOU KNOW HOW WRONG THAT IS?!?!?!
Just in case you were wondering, camp was the most fun weekend I've had in quite a while. We (as in my dear friends from small group/church and I) went off-roading, trudged through white, fluffy snow, played Clue, went on a ropes course, and danced like no tomorrow at the "Blast From the Past" parrrrty. Why can't prom be like that? Almost everyone dressed in crazy outfits reminiscent of eras long (or not so long) past and danced and sang along to songs like "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." and "Sweet Child O' Mine".
*Sigh of satisfaction* How lovely!
